Pioneer Acquires National Oilwell Varco’s Indianapolis Facility

Currently, our operations span across eight states with over 100 employees located at five warehouses and repair facilities. We are proud to announce today that we will be adding a sixth location to our business that will allow us to operate in nine states in total.

Our New Home for Midstream Valve and Actuator Repair Services

Pioneer has acquired the assets of National Oilwell Varco’s (NOV) valve storage and repair facility in Indianapolis, IN. Through this acquisition, we will be gaining a 35,000 square foot facility that’s equipped to do 6D testing and repair. Combined with the facility, we will be entering into a repair and storage contract with one of the largest midstream pipelines in the country.

Pioneer Indianapolis

National Oilwell Varco’s Indianapolis facility was built specifically to be a full service valve and actuator repair facility with a focus on the oil and gas midstream industry. As such, Pioneer Indianapolis will be the new central hub for all of our midstream valve and actuator repair services. In addition, our new location will also be used to warehouse new and repaired valves for major pipeline companies throughout the Midwest.

This addition will bring a sixth facility into our fold of repair locations and warehouses. The facility is specifically equipped to do API Standard 6D testing and repair for petroleum and natural gas industries, pipeline transportation systems, and pipeline valves. This will allow us to add critical testing capabilities to our growing list of services. It also allows us to extend Pioneer’s footprint to cover all of the Midwest.

Our History of Growth

This acquisition of National Oilwell Varco’s Indianapolis facility comes on the heels of our purchase of ECT. In January 2019, Pioneer acquired ECT, a long-time distributor and representative firm of environmental health and safety products. These purchases will help us in our goal to extend our reach in the area and provide our customers with the best service possible.

Prior to these most recent acquisitions, in 2017, we opened a valve repair shop and Green Tag Center in Calvert City, KY. And in 2016, we purchased Platte River Valve in Hastings Nebraska. This location has been turned into a Green Tag Center and Masoneilan Marc Center (MARC).
